Removing Streaks

The monsoon has left streaks on my RV from rooftop drainage. I've tried windshield cleaner, Meguiers wax/cleaner, "The Solution", bathroom cleaner, all fail to remove the streaks, probably from calcium and hardwater deposits. Any recommended solutions please?

It's just dirt from the roof. My trailer is molded fiberglass all around and I still get streaks. It's okay for a week or 2 after washing, then starts again.

Waxing is not the problem. Removing streaks is.

A guy could always coat the roof membrane with a white coating. That will probably slow down the streaking but won't totally eliminate it.

The marine cleaners are good on gelcoat. For painted surfaces, I use Jasco Paint Preparation (sold at the big box stores). I mix it in a garden sprayer and spray on the surface. Agitate with a soft brush if needed, and then rinse. The Jasco also removes any oxidation in the surface so an owner will need to apply wax for a gloss finish.

Lemin Pledge spray on, rub off. Leaves wax on to make it easier the next time.

I just spray the Black Streak Remover that Wally World has and hit it with the brush on a long wand.

Good enough for me. :C

I've found a lot of the products that work leave streaks if not rinsed well soon after applying, they also leave difficult to remove spots on the window. Most of the colored cleaners like Simple Green, Totally Awesome, and purple power, work pretty well, with the aforementioned things to be aware of. They can also remove any wax or polish.

A cleaner/wax like Mequiar's #50 works but is a little more work.

Keeping the roof clean minimizes it, but it's tough to keep the roof clean.

Depends how picky you are.

Go to your local Harley Davidson dealer and get S-100. Job done easily, spray on and wipe off. Make sure you rinse it well or it may leave milky streaks. Its great
