Replacement RV Windows?

Atwood Mobile Products sells replacement windows to order. There are options for dual pane and various configurations as well as various tints. Anyone done this or used this company?

I tend to like to read reviews/experiences and I can't seem to find any about this product. Additionally, they are lacking some useful information and pictures, IMHO.

-There are no actual pics of what the different tint options look like, just computer generated mockups.
-There is no discussion of screens.

I asked them for more info about the tints a while back and was told the tints were aesthetic and not functional and I should match my existing windows. I just submitted a question about screens.

It's a bit on the pricey side, particularly considering my current windows are functional. But, I love the idea of upgrading to dual pane windows. I primarily would want to upgrade the rear window that is above our corner bed. It is an egress window so it's not supposed to open except in case of emergencies. Despite this, we occasionally prop it open, but there is no screen so it's not ideal in buggy areas. We tend to camp when it's cooler so there is a lot of heat loss right next to our heads through that window, and when it's hot we can't open for cross ventilation.

So, I'd likely start with that window (Atwood has an option that offers egress and ventilation), but am intrigued about adding dual pane throughout (would have wanted this option on our RV originally, but instead of the S&B "location, location, location" mantra, we found "floorplan, floorplan, floorplan" was our key in RV selection which meant we had just one model to choose from and to my knowledge dual pane is (was) not a Coachmen option).

So, anyone replace their windows using this or another company? How'd it go?
  • We 6 windows replaced. The windows were Hehr, the original window in our RV. They were dual pane. Was a easy job. Don't know about Attwood.
  • Last year I replaced a complete Atwood dual pane window assembly in a Monaco. Approximately 48" X 30", one fixed one slider, with screen. Shipped to Kansas City, it was about $850.00. You'll need a whole new frame assembly for each window that you want to make dual pane. Not cheap.
