Replacing the gray water valve on the 4x4

Holy geeezus what a job. My black water valve is like most...right handy. The locale is protected by a plate and struts to keep it intact, but still accessible. However, the gray is more to the centre/rear and between it and me...is a plate of aluminum armour plating that had maybe 25? rivets to be drilled out and then another 20? screws out of the box that encases the tank...allows for heating of same....That took me the day yesterday and now today, with some luck...back it will all go.

  • That took me from 10am till 4pm with one hour out to go buy a rivet gun/run the dog. If I ever have to do it again, it will be cut in half..I am not good with tools and how things work, so I make a mess, clean it up..do it over...but I get there.

  • Sometimes we really have to wonder about the shirt and tie that designs this stuff. He obviously never gets his hands dirty.
