Hey gang ... happened to catch this thread and see the mentions for RVtoday! Thanks so much for the kind words. I loved hosting and producing the show from 2000-2007, it was a kick. We tried to do a REAL RVing show, featuring REAL RVers around the country.

Here's an adventure to the Salton Sea where we met up with an extended RVing family who knows how to have fun in the desert.

You'll find some new episodes on the YouTube channel, and maybe we can get something back on the tube!
Thanks again for the nice comments, safe travels out there.

There was a good show about RVing on and the host that was on it has posted on here before. I can't remember the name of the show right off the top of my head right now, but there are episodes of it online. But they are old ones and not new ones. I think Marcus needs to get another one going.
You MUST be talking about RV Today with Stew Oleson. If you google RV Today, Stew Oleson, Road Stew, or go to Youtube and search for the above, you will find lots of show segments, even newer ones.
IMHO, there will never be another RV oriented show like RV Today.

The so-called reality TV shows are of course not reality at all. They are all staged, scripted, and pre-ordained. House Hunters is a great example. The houses are all pre-selected and in some cases they have existing tenants and just "borrowed" the house for the show.
This RV show is no different and nothing new. It all depends on whether you want to waste a half hour or hour of your life watching 20 minutes of program and 40 minutes of commercials or do something productive like washing your hair.
I have to agree, with the exception of one reality show that is NOT scripted. Cajun Pawn Stars is not scripted and the antics that occurred we strictly created by the cast on the show. How do I know? This Spring we drove to Alexandria, LA and visited them. The people working there are ... real people. However, they also told us that A&E Network was pulling the show unless they got nasty, created conflict, and tossed out the religious overtones. When we visited them, they were unwilling to bend to pre-planned scripting and religion was something they valued to high to stoop to trash television. Well, ever since we got back home from our trip to Louisiana, I've not seen the show on television. Looks like Cajun Pawn Stars got pulled and they were unable to contract with another network.
So yea, I agree 100%. These reality shows are scripted! They're not "real'.
