Well...I recently moved to the "use a cover" side after always thinking they were not needed. Bought my first cover for our 35 ft Alpenlite and very happy I did. We are surrounded by trees that loose leaves and debris. The cover protects the rig from that. We also live where it rains 370 days a year :)so it seems. There is some piece of mind not having to look in the rig for leaks after every downpour.
I am 63. The 37 ft cover weighs 47 lbs. After watching the ADCO video on how to install, I folded the cover as suggested and climbed to the roof. It was difficult carrying the folded cover up the step ladder but, once on the roof, the cover was simple to install taking maybe 5 minutes. I have yet to remove it but I don't anticipate it being too problematic. We shall see.
