RV fridge cleaner recommendation?

Because of how last year was, job-wise (where I went from one place, the company merged and had layoffs, moved to another which failed, and finally to a state job), I have not had time to really look at my TT.

Apparently sometime last year, a beer that was in my fridge exploded... and I found out about it last week after I moved my trailer to a site I use it at until mid-April. Most (about 97%) of the grunge is out and the smell is gone, but I'm wondering what to as a cleaner to get all the remnants out.

The good thing is that I keep the fridge doors ajar with the Dometic airing positioning cards, so things were not a total disaster.

What do other people use for cleaning out messes like this?

Baking Soda paste mix. Take power baking soda, add a little water to make a paste. Scrub it with that. FYI, this works extremely well in ice chests and coolers too. Been doing it this way for the last 30 years on all refrigerators I've had. It's safe, and cleans very well.

And if you have real stubborn stains and/or mold you can add bleach with baking soda instead of the water. Unbelievable what stains that combo takes out.

Tried this out a few years ago and darned if it didn't work well. I even used the same paste as an oven cleaner. I kept the paste wet and in a week, everything was shiny!
  • If those other things dont help you can use BonAmi (NOT Comet). It's very good at cleaning plastic and will not scratch.

  • Vinegar water or bleach water? That's what we use on all our fridges, whether RV or home. Good Luck!
