Exactly, I was wondering if there was a difference in millage between the 85 and 87. When they are both the same price, seems crazy to get the lower octane, but I thought there must be a good reason.

Sounds like you may have run into what we've found in Nebraska and Iowa. It was hard to figure out what to get by the names they gave the different fuels.
