Rv interior colors

We actually waited to order our rig because we knew they were coming out with the dark Cherry (bourdeux) cabinetry....We love the rich, high end look...fact is it is what we had in our S&B kitchen.

It only lasted for two model years though...apparently most don't care for it and now it's no longer available...glad we bought when we did.

I would like the dark color on the cabinets . If they were not to dark. I like to keep the light level low in my TT because I mostly use it for sleeping anyway. But, white upholstery would be awful!!! And, what is up with the pink upholstery they used for many years? My 1993 TT has blue upholstery and that is too girly for me. I would love to have brown upholstery or some other neutral color. But, if the cabinets were dark brown and the upholstery dark brown too it would be too much.

Its all about sales sales sales, just like cars change designs every few years, and interior house colors change. I personally prefer light colors, because it is always brighter as white reflects and dark absorbs light.

I agree with the darker wood cabinets etc, but like light walls, and white ceiling. White furniture covers, and white carpet to me is ridiculous in an RV.

I have the blah beige walls and cherry cabinets and brown furniture. I have a tiny bit of burgundy in the valances, so I took that and went from there. I changed the UGLY bedspread out to a burgundy one first thing. I then had some pics that were made on trips in previous RV`s that had bright green and shades of burgundy and pinks. printed them poster size and mounted on blah beige walls, and added bright pink, bright green and burgundy accessories. Really looks much better. And I love waking up and looking at the trees reflecting in the lake made Easter Sunday as the trees and azaleas were just beginning to bloom. Reminds of that wonderful family weekend and is a great cheerful way to start the day.

Yes it is a tiny bit girly, but if you changed the closeup photos of hycanths and tulips and the pink and green plaque out for something a little less pink and just kept the landscapes of trails and sunsets it wouldn't be too much for most men.

I am just the opposite, I like the dark colors. I do not like the white oak cabinets.

I believe Open Range was offering lighter cabinets on some of their models.

Personally I really like the dark cherry cabinets we have in our rig. There are plenty enough windows to really brighten up the living area. The walls are light colored and the ceiling is white... does not feel dark or dreary to me at all.

I think the RV industry is belatedly following queues from home interior design. Honey coloured cabinets and flooring and bright colors are pretty dated by today's home design standards (you won't see them in many show homes). It's a personal preference but I for one like it better that my daddy's RV paisley color schemes.

I'm with you on the dark interiors. Two years ago when we were shopping interior color was a bi greason we purchased used.

I'm glad we're not in the market for a new RV. I don't like the dark wood either and would not buy anything with it.
