RV sauna?

Has anyone ever converted their bathroom into a sauna?

I just purchased and set up an infared carbon sauna for my condo spare bedroom. So I am thinking, why can't I just purchase the thin carbon infared panels and mount them in my truck camper bathroom?

My first wife was a Finnish gal, her family was right into camping. She had an uncle who was, to say the least, both creative and eccentric.

He took the frame from a rotted out small old single axle camper (7' x 16' maybe) and built a full on, two room (change / shower room and sauna) wood-fired sauna on wheels. He pulled it behind his 24' C.

Boy was he popular fella in a crowd of Finnish campers!!

With all the things I can think of that would say don't do it, I can't think of any one thing that says it might be a good idea. Of course you wouldn't consider it if you didn't enjoy it but I think thats one creature comfort item you might just do without.

My TT was automatically converted to a sauna while pulling it to Branson last week. Didn't cost me a thing! Just joking a bit. Might you consider a portable outside unit? Better to have it where it won't damage your camper.

Infrared carbon sauna would be a dry heat. I would be careful as most weigh a fair amount and the amp draw on your electrical system. Other than those issues I don't see why not.
