San Diego Passes RV Parking Ban
On July 8, 2013 the San Diego City Counsel passed a sweeping ban on RV parking within the City of San Diego. This ban effects motorhomes, trailers, ATV trailers, boats, and any other "oversized" vehicle. The city backed off on this in 2008 when the new ordinance was not paid for, now through "funny numbers" based revenue from tickets annually the counsel passed the new ordinance. Parking is banned from 2a-6a or at anytime within 50' of an intersection. Residents can obtain a one night permit for a fee to park on their block.
Through sales tax and plates I have paid roughly $15,000 to the state and city, now to be discriminated against. They are perfectly willing to take my money, then ban from parking. With this ban, because I am two houses in from the corner, I can never park in front of my home again.
If you have not heard about this, no surprise, this was done without a call for public debate. Todd Gloria, my city councilmen, should be ashamed of himself.
If you live in San Diego, this will effect you, let your elected representative know.
