Sealed Gaps In Outer Compartments

I partially Eternabond'ed my roof today, but my first, morining project was to seal gaps in the outer compartments. When I got the Lexi, I noticed there were some gaps where the moulded compartments meet and are attached to the inner walls. The factory uses some type of a rubber sealent but there were gaps that you could see light comming thru. If you can see light than thats an entry for water splashed up from the road during rain.
Got some Loctite PL S30 Roof & Flashing Polyurethane Sealant and caulked around the perimiter of all the compartments, inside and outside (from underneath) where they meet the walls.
Just something else to check for as a possible entry point for water.

  • On Amazon, they were selling rolls of copper wool/copper screening to lay down as well. This isn't for water intrusion, but to keep the rodents out. It definitely can't hurt to keep those compartments sealed, not just from water, but from vermin as well.
