You are lucky you weren't charged for the motorcycle or maybe the park attendant did not know the rules-a common NM park issue.

For what it's worth, North Carolina State Parks don't charge a fee... Our taxes at work for you...

Mostly it is at public parks with day use fees charged per vehicle. Yes, if you unhook and drive in and out of the front gate, you will pay another day use fee for your towed vehicle. If your bring a pair of motorcycles, you will pay for both of them.

Shenandoah National Park charges a $20/vehicle fee...if you are pulling a trailer, I don't think you pay that fee, but if you are towing behind a motorhome, I would imagine you do...This is on top of your camping fee. The plus side is that it's good for a week....that's crazy.....

They don't charge for the Blue Ridge Parkway....they also don't charge to drive into the GSMNP....WE are heading to Shenandoah over July 4th weekend...I guess we will see why they charge it...

Just part of the expense of camping. We usually bring an extra vehicle, 4 adults and 4 dogs. The extra vehicle is nice for driving around as it's a hybrid that gets very good gas mileage. We have no problems paying for an extra vehicle if charged. It's figured in. Many times they staff doesn't even charge anyway. It's up in the air. But we go in budgeted to pay.

Well what if it isn't Towed, or driven in??? This "Toad" was carried in!

I've been charged for each of two motorcycles that take up less room than one car. Now we ask before we book a site.

What many seem to fail to understand (accept): "Their CG..their rules". Don't like the rules, regardless who makes them? Go elsewhere. That simple.
