Sedona - Flagstaff AZ smoke

Is anybody around Sedona Arizona? How is the smoke situation? We are headed that way. Thanks in advance for any information.
  • Here is the Inciweb page for Slide fire as of just now.

If you look at the links down the right-hand side of that page, you will see one for air quality particulate monitors and one for a personal smoke measurement guide.

    Breathe safe out there.
  • It is almost clear by late morning. I can still smell it in the morning when the air is cool but as it heats up, in the 90s yesterday, the air clears. You will not be allowed down Oak Creek Canyon.

GOOGLE says now that the SLIDE Fire is now slowing down they are going to go ahead with the planned 89A ROAD UPGRADE... SR 89A will reopen to traffic before the Fourth of July weekend. Don't have any info on the SMOKE situation but it does say the SLIDE FIRE is winding down now.

    ADOT ROAD CLOSURE AZ89A

If this is your dates you probably should go down I17 and come into SEDONA that way verses using AZ SR89A in the switch-backs area of OAK CREEK Canyon...
