Self adjusting trailer brakes causing low oil psi warning

I pull new travel trailers across the country. Brakes often have to be worked in so brake control aways starts at 10. After a few days, more often there is a lot of stopping involved, I have been have an issue of the truck flashing LOW OIL PRESSURE STOP NOW. Its only for a second, oil pressure gauge doesn't drop and truck reads full on dipstick.

Now this happens after I am off the brake and as soon as a out my foot back on the throttle. I turn down the trailer brake controller and it the truck will not show warning again in same situation.

Has anyone else had this happen?
  • Stock controller. I have this happen in the past with the higher end trailers. Since under 100k miles on the truck. I assume its the fact Forest River is using better brakes on all trailers now. Its rare to lock up any wheels on one of these new trailers.
  • "....2010 Gmc 2500 Duramax...."

So assume you have an integrated trailer brake controller?

Or an after market? If so, what brand, model, etc?
  • Don't know what is going on. but if you have a truck with 512,000 miles that has been worked hard and has aftermarket oil filter parts, you should know best what to do next.
