If you ever need generator work done and are anywhere near Tucson give Simonsen Generators a call {520 889-9581}. They are located on the south side of Tucson just north of I-10 {3851 South Country Club, Tucson}.
I had them service my Generac 4KW in our 2012 Nexus 4 years ago and they did a great job cleaning up/out the carb and getting it running perfectly once again. They have kept me supplied with Generac oil, fuel and air filters for 4.5 years
We got caught in a vicious sandstorm last fall on our way to Borrego Springs and that damned sand got into places God never intended. Once again Simonsen got it cleaned up and running again, the bill was less than $100.
The other day I found that while the genny would start and run just fine if I used ther starter button on the generator if I tried to use the button on the inside of thre coach it would die as soon as I released it after starting. I assumed the switch inside was bad and asked them to troubleshoot it and do whatever was needed.
I went to breakfast {Ajo Cafe is next door and it's awesome... but I digress}. When I returned the tech said he had it fixed. The starter button on the generator was the culprit as it was not resetting completely to the neutral position and that was shorting out the starting function from inside the coach. The tech adjusted the button and Voila, both now work perfectly. He suggested they replace that lower button "someday" and placed an order so they would have it in stock whenever I was ready but stressed there was no hurry.
When I asked for the bill {they charge $90 an hour} I was told "No charge" just come see us if you ever need anything else!" My file was documented for future reference and I was out of there in under an hour.
They work on just about anything and are a Generac factory authorized servicce center. Great guys, excellent service at a very reasonable price {$90 an hour} when I can get them to actually charge me. :S
