Gotta say, I now have my first experience with someone across from me on my last camping trip that had those long 3' LED lights in a "V" shape on the front of his nice, new, big AF 5th wheel... Turned them on just before dusk and kept them on until dawn....Lit up the whole campground with them too... :)Right into the side window next to the bed.. I was about 75 yards or so away from him. Had to put up a towel over the window to cover it, it was so bright..I don't have black out blinds, but after this experience and if this is going to become a trend, I'm going to be getting them..I'm calling him Mr. Obnoxious ha, ha! No, I'm not going to tell him to turn them off... Obviously, he feels the need to do it, so I'll not intrude on his right to do so.They have 'quiet time' rules in the State Park I'm in, but no 'bright light time' rules, so he is entitled to do as he pleases.I figured out the way to block it, so no big deal, but this is maybe only the second or third time in over 15 years of camping with this trailer that I've had to do that with the towel over the window..Not really a 'rant' as such, but just wondering why this is something that looks to be a factory installed item, as it looks to be molded into the front of the 5th wheel by the manufacturer?I have pics of it, but it's dark and does not really show how bright they really are, so no point in posting them.I know I can do the whole 'boondock' thing and get away from people, and if I'm not willing to do that, then I have to accept it.. Ahh yes, we have them on our Arctic Fox.... they are a whole bar of LED'S and very bright. Also another set of them on each side....one near the dump valves and the other over one of the entry doors....Did I say very bright.We have only used the one over the entry door.

We like the dark. We all have our "lights" stories too. Try some art or construction foam board and cut it to fit your bedroom window. That should help.

You should report that the camp host.I have it infront of my tow truck but rarely turn them on except when entering a pitch dark area with deep ravines or finding your way to your site in no-lights campground. And only as needed knowing how obnoxious it will be to others.

So who likes those new LED strip lights on the front of RVs?

You should report that the camp host.

Our new Cardinal has 4 of them in the front cap. They say they can be used to hitch up in the dark. I turned them on, the only thing that I could see was the lights. I guess that they would light the hitch are of the truck bed. They sure are bright. I'm not crazy about the ones under the awnings, I think they are too bright too.

After reading your post I will make sure that I don't leave mine on!!!

Yep, you either boondock or deal with the entitled 'All About Me' people.
At least it wasn't on a flasher.

I've often wondered why people go camping if they're terrified of the dark.

Like I said, I figured out what to do... It's just why do some feel the need to keep them on all night long? Okay, if you are hitching up your trailer at night, turn them on and party on.. Or if you are partying, at least offer me a beer!

Just like the trend not too long ago with you being able to plug in a flasher into your 7 pin plug and have all the parking lights on your trailer flash! Yea... :)

I got ripped a new one about 10 years ago when I ranted about people leaving their 'scare lights' on all night or just the dumb porch light on all night and obviously I have not learned from that! ha, ha!

I guess just stirring the pot again, because it's gotten a bit too bland around here lately! :)

Thanks for posting MitchF150. I think that there are more people that agree with you than you know. My wife and I were at a very nice campground in June and several 5th wheels and RV's had their afraid lights on all night long. It was definitely annoying to wander around the campground after dark and not be able to enjoy the dark sky. If I need to see around the campground after dark, I carry a flashlight and try not to bother others.
