Well, the tittle says it all. Picked up our new star craft travel star 239tbs at 2pm and here it is 9pm and I got a list of issues going already. The biggest is the largest window blind fell clean off the window somewhere between the dealer and home. A peice of the skirting flaps in the wind, which a little movement is understandable, but this piece moves so much there is no doubt in my mind it won't last long. Also were part of the couch frame mounts to the wall it is pulling out. Along with those few things there are some minor things such as loose screws and another blind being installed incorrectly. First thing in the AM I will contact the dealer and see what they have to say. Also, and this just seems odd, to switch from the radios indoor speakers to outdoor speakers you need to use the fade control. Anyone else have a system like that? I've only ever seen ones that have a speaker switch, like A,B,C, or something similar, that's not really any issue, just a curiosity question.

Sorry to whine and complain but I just needed to vent, it's a little disheartening spending $20k+ and having Sh!tty craftsmanship like this... The wife is also not very happy with these issues either. Hopefully this isn't an outlook on what to expect.

Thanks for the reinsurance, and I completely understand things break. I agree, The blinds falling off is something that you can't blame the dealer for, and in their defense when we did the delivery walk through the blinds operated perfectly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will do quality work though on the repairs. Yes, I am glad there is a 2 year warranty on it haha. I plan on going over it top to bottom tomorrow to see if there are any more little things that they can touch up. Glad to hear though that it's common to have a few kinks.

Not unusual at all to have some issues. The worst part is it may indicate that your dealer shafted you by not doing a quality prep/PDI.

Hopefully your dealer will do a better job after the sale.

I am so sorry. I know how terribly frustrated you must feel. It is a sad fact that most RV's are poorly constructed and have constant small (and big) issues. Since yours is new, you will have some time under warranty to get some of them ironed out. I know it is annoying, but hang in there. You will eventually reach a point where most things are fixed. Our 2013 TT tows like a dream and is very comfortable to use but stuff falls off of it all the time. We just gather up the screws and spare parts and hope for the best. lizzie

It can be frustrating but remember stuff happens........ I work in a service industry and can understand at times how things seem like they get missed. For example I performed a PM on someone's furnace 2 days ago and two days later it stopped working. The guy calls me up cussing and swearing that he paid me $75 dollars and his blanking furnace doesn't work. I go back over there and it ends up being a thermostat problem from an incorrect installation of a $10,000 dollar instal that was less than 2 years old and doesn't have anything to do with my PM. I also didn't bother to pull the thermostat off the wall and check it since I assumed it was installed correctly. I had to charge the guy time/labor to replace the thermostat however had the guy been cool about it to begin with I would have not charged him for the labor..

That was the long way to say it isn't really the dealers fault the blind fell off the wall. I highly doubt I would check every screw on every blind to make sure they were installed at the factory if I was them. Be nice about it and I betcha they will gladly make it right. If they are any type of reputable dealer you may even be well on your way to building a good working relationship for other issues that may came up. I do have to say that I am lucky and the dealer that I deal with bends over backwards to make things right for and help out customers.
