WE ARE GOING ON A FIVE WEEK TRIP THIS SUMMER AND HAVE ENOUGH TOWELS FOR THAT TIME BUT I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH SPACE INSIDE THE RV TO STORE THEM. WHAT CAN I USE TO STORE THEM IN THE BAYS THAT WILL NOT CAUSE THEM TO HEAT UP AND MOLD?

Oh Good Grief! Is this for REAL? How does one get to a state where one cannot judge for onesself when to launder their towels and how many to take on a trip? I understand there is no such thing as a stupid question but this really pushes the envelope. My goodness what are we becoming as a people? Are we really the descendants of those really brave and hardy settlers that traveled from St Louis to Oregon or California walking behind teams of oxen and covered wagons and settled the wilderness and made cities, towns, schools and Bed Bath and Beyond?

Actually, Walnut Grove of "Little House On the Prairie" fame is 30 miles from me. And, on June 12th I'm going camping at a state park near DeSmet SD where Laura Ingalls Wilder based some of her books on.

It does not reflect very well of the forum to make you feel stupid for asking a question. Everyone was new to RV'ing at one time.

THANKS FOR YOU SUGGESTIONS, EVEN THE ONES THAT CALLED ME STUPID. I HAVE NEVER BEEN GONE THAT LONG AND THIS TRIP WILL BE VERY BUSY AND I DIDN'T WANT TO WASTE TIME DOING TOWELS. YES, I WILL WASH CLOTHES, I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH NOT TO. IT'S GOING TO BE HOT AND LAUNDRY MATS ARE HOT TOO. LAS VEGAS DIDN'T HAVE AIR CONDITIONED ONES WHEN I WAS THERE. I FELT MY QUESTION WAS VALID BUT I GUESS I WAS WRONG. I WILL NOT ASK ANY MORE OF YOU all.

This is one of the strangest posts I have ever read. I agree with a previous poster. You are clean when you come put of the shower so how dirty could the towel get?! I wash the towels once a week and hand them up to dry between use. If I could not wash them for a few weeks for some reason, the world would not end.

Next question: where are you going to store at least 35 sets of underwear for each of you...? (5 weeks worth).

.

Heck, I'm a bachelor, if I'm out camping I don't change my underwear every day. Why?

Or any of my clothes. Sometimes,,,, I even sleep in them. Unless they are too covered in worm or minnow slime or something like that.

It depends on how hot it is of course, along with how much exercise, and other things I may have been been doing.

Of course, if I was the sort of guy that was hitting the bars looking for love (or the red light district) then I would shower and change every day.

Towels? I carry a few, dry them out over tree branches, and use them over. I wash them once a year.

I always have a back up change of clothes, including a towel and swim suit in my tool box of my pickup if I need them.

Before anybody freaks out too awful, awful, bad , remember, I'm just a weekend camper. I'm back home every Monday for work.

Fake or not, this is the best post I have read in weeks. When we first started camping in the TC I bought some very expensive microfiber towels that were light weight and quick drying. Now I just buy the ones from the auto supply store. The come in day-glo orange, shrieking green, and mud yellow. After we use them a while they are good for washing the TT and the truck. Really cheap beach towels are good too, the thin ones. lizzie

I do require a clean towel when I shower. So. When we run out. Off to the laundry I go.

?? When I turn the shower off, I'm clean, so I use a clean towel to dry my clean body how does a towel ever get dirty ?? :h

We do wash our towels after a week, or so ๐Ÿ˜‰

Better yet, don't take any towels. Just run around naked and let evaporation do the job. Then you can use all the extra storage space to store all the tickets, citations and inditements that you recieve.
Not if they were at a nude campground. Would not need towels or extra clothes.:W

Does the DW know where you've been spending the weekends when you said you were going fishing?

Keep in mind that you are not going to be camping on the moon...think laundry mat.
