Not *just* in campgrounds, but lots of them seem to travel in RV’s....
I rarely stay in a c/g because I’m travelling to small airports and just camp there. On one such trip 3 or 4 of us were parked in a lot fairly close to a main road one nice summer night. Not long before sunset a m/h stopped next to us on the road and the driver stood at the fence and asked if they could join us. “Sure! Come on in!”
The next morning (around 9am) we were sitting around having coffee when the ‘lady” appeared before even ‘good morning’ started with something more like “Geezuz, what’s with all these idiots screaming right over our heads in those **** airplanes!!!”
We pointed out that, well, errrrr, ummm, you’re at an AIRPORT. It’s kinda what happens here. Without even hesitating she replied “Well couldn’t they see these great big motorhomes? Wouldn’t they KNOW we’d all be TRYING to SLEEP? Duh!!!”
When the shock wore off, and the giggling subsided somebody suggested she should demand a full refund!
