Thanksgiving Trip and Cold Temps

So for the first time we are going to take a trip for a week to the Oregon coast for Thanksgiving. I'm going to wait a few days before the trip to un winterize the trailer and fill my fresh water and then run down to the coast, looking at the average Temps for Lincoln City they only get to freezing at night and mid 5os during the day, just curious if there's any one who's stayed there in November? I think I'm safe as far as my trailer goes because during a new pump installed I discovered my entire plumbing system right down to the holding tanks and freshwater tanks are wrapped with heat tape. I plan to winterize before we leave the coast and head back east.

I've spent countless winter weekends on the Oregon coast and never had more than minor frost, certainly nothing to worry about. A dehumidifier is nice to have in the cold/damp weather, though. If anything freezes up it's going to be your fresh water hose.

Not to change the subject, but if you are on the Coast after Thanksgiving, you might want to consider heading south to Shore Acres State Park to see the Holiday Lights, and do some storm watching.
It is a spectacular display of both there.

While you are on your way down, do some wave watching at Boiler Bay and Cape Perpetua.

Good to know I won't turn the best tape on unless I have to, most of my plumbing isn't exposed its ran under the cabinets and there's a big vent that blows warm air under and in that space. . I'm stoked first trip in the winter doing somthing different for Thanksgiving.

50's during the day is still great camping weather! I'm an east coast boy, haven't been in Oregon in almost 20 years. If you are just hitting freezing for a couple hours at night, you shouldn't have any worries... no need for heated tanks, etc.

Awesome! We always stay at Premier Rv Resort next the the Inn At Spanish Head. It was my grandpa's long time spot, and now ours. I'll just watch the temps before I kick on the heat tape as it makes a big power draw, witch after doing the pump install is why I couldn't run the ac and the fridge on a 3000 watt Honda generator haha. Turned off the heat tape and I gained allot of power back lol whoops.

Yes, Thanksgiving and New Years.

Never have had an issue with freezing. Last time for Thanksgiving was about two years ago and the weather was fantastic!!! It was mid 40's at night and mid 60's during the days. Have spent the last three New Years at South Beach SP, just south of Newport. Even then mostly low 30's at night was the worst, last year day before we left had freezing drizzle the day before we left.
