Question

While camping at a renaissance faire last weekend, with the 20-30 mph winds, people were flying a lot of kites. Kites with the brands, "The North Face", "Coleman", and "Ozark Trail".

Makes me glad I can just back my trailer into place, chock it, drop the stabilizer jacks, and go take a snooze in a chair.

One night while back packing my friend got up to use the rest room and came back to find his tent gone.  We found it half mile away.  What a surprise

I know the feeling. One time in the Nevada desert we were camped across from two families in tents. It was cold, and the wind came up in the night something fierce. I awoke around midnight with the trailer really rocking and the wind howling. When I went outside in the morning they were gone. Packed up and left in the night. Wind was so loud I didn't even hear them leave. It was a long way to the nearest motel so I'm sure it was a night they will not soon forget.

Yep, fill your FW tank for a little extra ballast and wait out the wind.  :)
