This is my second set of Maxxis and the first problem I've had with them. I found a local dealer who was able to order one and it arrived the very next day. The first dealer I called said it could take three to four days to get the tire in. Either way it was not a major problem because we weren't scheduled to leave for a few days anyway.
You found a honest tire dealer IMO.
My local Les Schawb told me Maxxis were on back order for at least a month. I went with what they had in stock(tow max) because I was throttled for time and thought Les Schawb was on top of things. Then only about week later somebody here mentioned they put on some new maxxis. I e-mailed Maxxis and got reply from their corp that they have not been out of stock for over 16 months in west coast warehouse. So long Les Schawb, never again.
