TOAD TRUCK

Considering purchasing a 4 wheel down truck toad. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  • I am currently setting up a 2012 GMC canyon 4x4. Curb weight is 4070 lbs. To make ready to go put the transfer case in neutral. After hooking the towbar of course. No need to leave the key in the ignition to get the steering released. And GMC says it can be towed unequivocally in the Manuel.
You will need to be very specific in your choice and the hunt for the right one is helped by shopping Carmax on line. They have the largest inventory spread throughout the US and will ship your choice to the nearest sales office, Prices are fixed.
  • 08 Dodge Dakota 4 x 4 v8 5 speed auto, crew cab, love the truck gets around 19 + mpg on the hwy, and 17 mpg in town, great little truck
  • Depending on how much you can pull with your rig, I pull my 07 Silverado 2500HD 4X4 crew cab long bed diesel around where we go. We thought about getting something lighter, but the DW still likes it and has few miles on it.
  • Love our Chevy Silverado crew cab 4X4 truck, and find it hard to believe but really do not know it is back there.
  • I would stay away with any toad with warts........

    oh, you want dinghy towing.......

    Marty
  • This is tow vehicles, not towed vehicles. You want the dinghy forum.
  • You have a DP, so most any that is towable will work. We towed a 05 GMC crew cab for years, until the hi mileage we accumulate started to nickel & dime us, so traded for our present toad and we're extremely happy with it. Good off road, comfortable on the road and is a towing beast when used on the ranch.
  • I pull a 2004 Chevy Colorado 4 door crewcab 4X4 and am very happy with it.
