Tomorrow is the Day

I'm off to the beach for the next 4 months. I will be hosting at St. Andrews State Park in Panama City Beach, FL. If any of you will be in the area, stop by for a cup.
  • I'll be there between July 2 an 8. Used to live there in PCB. Still have Family in PC, Callaway and Wewa. Ron
  • I will be there July 28 thru Aug 2. Look forward to seeing you again Ed. We need to have a cigar together this time.
  • Thanks for the reply guys. I will be on site #158 unless they change it. Look me up. The cigar is a great idea.

Now if I can muster up the motivation to get hooked up and head south. Maybe a second cup will do the truck.

    We'll be at #172
  • I arrived at my summer camp host position yesterday after a 260 mile tow. It was the first tow since late last year and all went well. I have 8 new tires on my rig and it is always amazing to me how much new tires improve things, or maybe we just want it to be better due to the money we have just spent. My overall mileage was 12.1 mpg.

Want to see my camp site? Go to Google Earth and search for:
    30 8.384 N 85 44.600 W and then go to street view.
This picture was taken two years ago when I was on the same site. Home Sweet Home, at least for the next 4 months.
  • A major part of St. Andrews Campground was burned this past December to clean up the underbrush. You notice the more open look as soon as you enter the campground. It does look better, but the burned palmetto's still show a bit of char. I talked with someone late yesterday that was here when the burning was being done and they said the burn caused a major rat problem and one host had some major damage. It seems the displaced rats were looking for any hole to crawl into and made a home in the belly of a motor home. A lot of wiring and other damage was done. Fortunately that was several months ago and no problems are being reported now.
