2), 3) I think towing capacity is a very complicated issue. I think the biggest factor is driver's comfort level for any kind of trailer movement. Some people freak out on when the trailer tugs on the TV little bit while others tolerate much large movements. Tow ratings should be reduced for vehicles for high center of gravity or large rear over hang, but I don't think that is the case.
6) I think some depreciate less than others. I am surprised by how much used MB class C are being listed for sale. Of course, list price does not always equate to selling price.
