I would check the hitch rating, and go get the Silverado weighed at a scale. Unless you know both weights, you won't know if you are over the hitch, and in that case none of the other numbers will matter. You will need a supplemental brake which some will tell you you won't need it, and you will not see many toads with a brake away set up for the toad in case all else fails, but I have and use both.
