I am new to this - just bought my first TT. I have a 2011 22 foot Coachman and a 2012 F-150. I use the Equalizer hitch. On my first trip I had very bad bounce while traveling on concrete roads (I was fine on blacktop). I tried towing with and without water and it was the same. The trailer and truck looked level while parked on the street and the sway bars looked horizontal. Any ideas to make for a better ride? I am heading out west in the spring and want an enjoyable trip!Thanks, Rick

Sounds like you might be over-equalized. Try letting it down a link. Your trailer is not that heavy, and I doubt the tongue weight is very much.Max

Weight it. Something seems off. Knowing the weights will give you a good place to start.

Yep, You can't fix it. Concrete has expansion joints. Expansion joints make the TT, and TV bounce, as they are higher than the surrounding concrete. So the TV, and TT are constantly going over bumps, which you really can't feel in a car, but in the LONGER TV and TT combination. It is amplified. Best thing. Slow down. It won't bounce so much.

Slowing down is about all you can do. What speed to you travel normally? Try 55-60 mph and see if that does not help.

I avoid some interstates because of poorly done expansion joints. Getting the best ride with most any weight distributing system is dependent on the correct size for your trailer and setting it up correctly. I usually keep transferring more weight until the back end gets light (wheeles spin too easily) then back it off until the ready wheel spin goes away.

You either need to tighten the bars or loosen the bars. Trial and error, mostly error and you will get it.

This. The problem your having is not inevitable and can be corrected.
