towing a 2006 honda civic

Is it possible to tow four wheels down a honda civic 2006 automatic? Car manual is not clear on the subject, but Blue Ox has a base plate available for this model. Before taking the risk would appreciate to know if there is sound advice or experience out there that could be helpful for meto take a proper decision.

  • According to Remco it can be towed as is, with speed and distance restrictions.
  • the owner's manual has nothing under "recreational towing" or towing behind a motorhome?
    bumpy
  • For Bumpy, there is no such indication in the owner's manual. All being said is the type of towing possible by priority:a) on a flat bed truck,b) front wheels up,c) on four wheels by following the following procedure: start engine, put it in drive for a minute or so,back to neutral, turn off the engine, keep the steering wheel unlocked.
But there is no indication about towing speed or distance.

According to Remco however, speed should not exceed 65mph.

I guess i will just have to take the risk..
