When traveling I have my 3 way Dometic on 12 volt, so no flame. :) I'm surprised so many rv fridges aren't 3 way & don't have the 12v option.
When staying in one area I do use the propane, but always shut it off before I pull into a gas station. It's the vapors that are dangerous.
I'm surprised so many replies here say since they do not know of any disasters from this it can't be a problem. It only takes one time for you to become a disaster. Caution & thinking ahead go a long way towards preventing disasters.
