Using portable Flo-jet macerater pump at home

I have a portable Flo-jet that I haven't used yet and would like to. I only have our residential toilet to pump into. At some point, I hope to tap into house's sewer line.

If I understand correctly, I connect the Flo-jet to the RV, female end of garden hose to flow-jet and male end of the garden hose into the toilet bowl (with someone or something holding it there of course) and turn on the pump?

Is it advisable to put the male end on the bottom of the bowl (into the water) up to the trap of the toilet? Does help this reduce the unpleasant odor that might come with this job?

Does the output end splash much or at all if held in the water or near it?

Anything I should know about to alleviate the wife's (and mine) fears of bringing this into the house?

Thanks

My clean out is in the basement floor so I'll have to tap into the cast iron drain pipe(s). I haven't studied it to much to see what needs to be done but if I had easy access to a clean out or PVC plumbing, this wouldn't be an issue.

I had some spare macerator pumps and parts lying around from my previous RVs, so I put together a portable unit that attaches to my RV dump value. Attached a 3/4" garden hose to the output and built a adapter for the other end that screws into the 2-1/2" clean-out on the side of my house.

Thought I'd need to tap into the 4" sewer and install a dump there, but this setup just works. I'm not trying to pump up-hill or anything and my 3/4" hose is 50' in length.

One trick I learned is to fill the sinks with water in the house where the clean-out is that I use. This keeps the macerator pumping action from siphoning the water out of the P-trap in the house which can result in sewer smells in the house during and after use.

Before I built my RV Macerator Pump, I used a 12v Flow Jet to empty my tanks while visiting my dau. I was pumping 75' thru a 3/4" hose. I learned that I could only run the pump about 10 minutes before the thermal switch would turn the pump off. Had to then till it cooled off to start again.
With the homemade unit, I think it could run forever.

I think she would be sleeping in the RV while I sanitize or burn down (just joking people) the house ... if she let go of the hose.

I would give the wife the end for the toilet and go for it. You might be sleeping in the camper for a few nights

Yes, I would absolutely do the gray tank into a bucket, then move to the gray tank and toilet, etc. before doing the black tank. I'm looking for 1st hand experience.

It might be worth experimenting a little with the gray water tank and a 5 gallon bucket...
