Is it advisable to put the male end on the bottom of the bowl (into the water) up to the trap of the toilet? Does help this reduce the unpleasant odor that might come with this job?
Does the output end splash much or at all if held in the water or near it?
I installed a T in my house main sewer stack and ran it to the outside world so I can simply stick the macerator's output hose directly into it. However, when I first got my FloJet 10 yrs ago and hadn't yet completed this mod I did run the output hose to the main floor bathroom toilet - stuck the end of the hose as far into the bowl, below the water line, as it would go and used a bungie cord to keep it in place. Never had any splashing but there was a bit of odour, something I have none of now running directly into the house sewer stack. Pics are in my gallery.
