Using RV covers

My 22' TT doesn't have an attached ladder, and I have to use a regular one to get on top. It's pretty high, and would be very dangerous to fall off of.

My question; has anyone ever used a method of covering their RV without having to climb up on it? Maybe extendable poles like painters use?

Actually, I don't know anything about how to deploy a cover, but a guy at the RV center said it was pretty dangerous.

I would have to get on top to remove a radio antenna, but that would probably be a lot safer than trying to muscle around a cover up there.
  • I'm 75 and climb on the roof to install the Sunshield cover after each trip. It can be pulled off from the ground. Maybe I've just been lucky. Hope to make 76!
Obviously a covered storage arrangement would be better...and safer.

    LOL, no doubt.

I am 65, in reasonably good health, but still think it is pretty scary to be up on the roof. That being said, covering the trailer works out great for us - nice and clean when the cover comes off.

I never go up there alone - always have a "spotter" on the ground, and try to get my son to do the job whenever I can ....

    Thanks
