Been using TPMS for 8 years, 1000's of miles towed. Never a leak.

My TST 507's require metal valve stems. 4 years with NO issues other than replacing the transmitter batteries last year as a precaution.

I have used TST 507's since 2012 with no leaks, no problems. Well, one problem. About a year after it went out of warranty, the receiver stopped working on battery. It would only work if plugged in. I called TST to ask what battery they used so I could buy a new one. Even though the unit was out of warranty, they sent me a new receiver for free. They even apologized that I had to re-code the new receiver to the sending units.

I've not heard of anyone have the color changing caps that haven't complained that they leak. If you want a TPMS, buy one that actually works.

One thing to keep in mind with the electronic TPMS sensors is their weight. If you have rubber stems that are long, the TPMS unit, at speed, can flex around possibly hitting the rim or cracking the rubber stem. I'd suggest metal stems first if you don't already have them.
