Vent Covers

If your unit doesn't already have some fantastic fans installed, I recommend them. The TT we had didn't have them and actually besides the bathroom vent, it only had one other vent opening in the bunkroom. The master bedroom didn't have a vent opening at all. On the motorhome, there was a vent opening over the master bedroom bed and over the front cab bed. Had the fantastic fans installed that can reverse the way the air blows. We will set one to draw in air and the other to blow out air. Great cross circulation. You can get them with the auto opening and closing feature, but we didn't go that expensive on ours.

We had them put on the Fantastic Fan Ultrabreeze covers with them. Supposedly better airflow of the other traditional ones. I can't say if they are as we really can't compare. I had them put one over the bathroom vent that was already there as well.

I installed a Maxx Air on my cargo trailer today. It takes longer to get the ladder out, assemble the tools and put everything away than the actual install. Check YouTube for install videos.

My camper came with a couple of Maxxairs. Not only do they keep the rain out, I was dry-camped one time with both vents open and facing into about a 30 mph wind, and they didn't let any meaningful BREEZE in either :)

I've installed 5 Maxxair II's on two trailers. Happy with them.

That is odd as we have owned our trailer 8 years and it came with maxair covers which are still good. And we get a lot of the same weather plus heavy snow in the winter. I'd contact Maxair for help.

I installed the Maxxair because at the time they were on sale for less than the Camco. Brand probably doesn't make much of a difference. Like others that responded to your post, we leave the vents open almost all of the time. Never had a drop of rain come in with the vents covered, and we've camped in some torrential rain!

I had maxxairs on the previous 5er , put camco's on this one.

Hubby installed 3 maxair covers and they survived 18 days on the road in pelting rain, dust storm, 109 degree heat and more this past July and Aug.

Nice to have the hinge feature so you can easily open and clean under it.
