Hello... new here! Bought our travel trailer in 2019 and slowly working on cosmetic renovations. Have a 2005 14ft travel trailer I want to wallpaper, with traditional Unpasted wallpaper. I have never wallpapered... reading into it... I see that wallpapering over vinyl is not recommended. Has anyone successfully wallpapered over their RV walls ? No issues with mold or peeling back paper? If so... what are the recommendations for prepping and what paste? Thanks in advance

What burb man said. Paperhanging is a lost art lol. They used to have a sizing paint they used before hanging wallpaper. I have no clue what traditional unpasted wallpaper is. They make diffrent kinds of wall paper. Paper backed vinyl, paper backed paper, vinyal backed vinyl, Foil backed vinyl, etc , etc I would use the vinyl backed vinyl, its one peice of solid vinyl. More money but easier to wash , clean and remove. I have never wall papered a camper. And i haven't hung wallpaper in 25 years. I dont know what they use for pastes now. Clay was always good, but not with certian papers. Wheat would mold, but that stuff never came off, the clear used to be garbage.

I used a few rolls of this Self-Adhesive Removable Wood Peel and Stick Wallpaper which went on easy and no peeling back.
Has good reviews.
No paste.

Thank you... I will look into Zinsser shieldz.. I talked to Roman today, they recommended their Pro 935 primer, and concluded the Roman 543 is probably my best bet. Thank you for the tips about the blades and leveling!

Not wallpapered but painted RV walls. First prime and size the walls where ypu will be papering with a quality product like Zinsser Shieldz. Use a quality adhesive like Roman Adhesive to hang the paper. Be sure to have plenty of single edge razor blades on hand. A sharp blade is the key to a clean trim, and depending on the paper, sometimes you only get 1 or 2 good cuts with a fresh blade.

Wallpapering the RV is about the same as doing it in your home, lots of patience required for the process. One key difference is you start wallpaper at home by drawing a plumb line, that only works in the trailer if the unit is perfectly leveled when you park. Better idea is to line up with a door or cabinet frame.
