She is coming from NY and there is a good possibility her question could have been WPB to Key West and I know for a fact overnighting is allowed in WPB.
OP, you stand a better chance of finding a CG in Marathon... dry camping is NOT allowed anywhere in the Keys. Day trip to Key West in your class C from there although going there is not high on my list of things to do... especially with small grandkids as there are too many fruits and nuts on display. Also do not go the week before and after bike week at Daytona unless you like load exhaust noise 24/7.

If you overnight in WPB I would get on the turnpike there by going a little further west on 45th to Military Trail and then south to Okeechobee Rd and west to the turnpike. You will get a bill in the mail based on the RVs tag.

Florida city is only about an hour away(with no traffic problems) from Ft.' Lauderdale. Driving north to West Palm makes no sense and I think overnighting in other than camping areas is prohibited in Monroe County. Don't know what time of year you're thinking about, but from now to after spring break, its pretty full in the Keys.

The Casino on Krome Ave. is the only place I have ever heard of.

rv2go is correct . With the issues that many Walmarts were having with infrastructure issues and congestion in or about 2005-2006 corporate decided to leave it to the individual stores to make the decision . As for Florida most decided on installing either the overhead restrictors and or designing lot access more difficult by employing smaller access points to keep out combination vehicles.

Too many areas before the keys that I would not want to stay in after Ft Laud. The Sams/Walmart and Cracker Barrel at 45th st N in WPB allows overnight. Go west off I-95 and C B is left at the first light and Sams is further down on the right after Walmart. I use 95 until Ft Laud and then get on the overpriced turnpike.

The information I have is that WalMart has a "welcome" policy for RVs/overnight. It is the local townships that can and will have policies forbidding overnight RV parking. Perhaps an individual on the township committee owns a campground nearby. Who knows?
A problem that has been mentioned on this forum many times, is that some RVers park at a Wal Mart...throw out their awnings, put out their grills and stay for a couple days. (All because they want to save 20 bucks.)
That spoils it for everyone else.

Download RV Parky for your phone. It's pretty accurate about which Walmarts allow parking.

I stayed at the Miccosukee Casino, just west of Miami. It's just a parking lot but free. Have to go in and register but not a hassle. There were probably 12 rv'ers there that night.

Side note, joined the players club and got $20 in slot play and walked out with $45. The buffet is not bad but nothing special.

Edit: If you go here use the Northwest corner of their parking lot. It's the area designated for RV's. Some trucks will be there too.

None of them allow it.

Almost all Walmarts in Florida have a NO overnight parking. And some get real serious about enforcing it too.

I pulled in with my MH into a Walmart just outside Brooksville to just go grocery shopping and was met with 4 squads and security saying I couldn't park overnight there!

I Tried to tell them I was just going to shop, like in buy stuff from their store and leave? They actually told me to go home and get my car and come back. Ya, I'll drive the 4,000 miles round trip and be right back. :R:R

Overnite RV parking in Florida is hard to find.
Try the Home Depot next door the the Walmart in Florida City.
