We upgraded from our original TT, a 20' Keystone Hideout to a 26' Salem TBUD last year and have decided to upgrade our WDH. I currently have the original round bar WDH with friction sway control bar....

You've got a good truck and your existing hitch might work just fine - right near the top, but should work. Have you tried towing with it? If you are not happy with the original hitch, certainly get a new one!
