What caused marks on motorhome??

The marks looked somewhat familiar to me, so this morning I showed the picture to the body shop gurus at my son-in-law's truck shop. Two of them almost immediately said, "Yeah, that looks a lot like the scratches we fixed when [regular customer] swung his motorhome into the fence at [a local RV/boat storage yard]." That storage yard has a large mesh wire fence (a guess, about 5-6" squares) around it, and I can see how swinging the rear end into the fence between the posts would make similar marks. The flexibility of the fencing would also allow it to contour to the coach shape.

Go back and retrace steps!! We Gotta know!!!

Ya, could be. But, a fence post is straight up and down. There are also scratches by the tail lights in the indented section. Did he hit the fence post so hard that it broke off and the top of the post hit by the tail lights because the rest of the fence was holding it and the broken post tilted???

We have to know. Drive back, re trace your steps and see what you can find. But, watch out for cops and pissed off farmers that are mad at you for breaking there post. (jk, kinda)

Those are the kind of marks I get when I tiurn left too soon in a tight place and swipe something with the right rear corner. Done it twice, even while watching carefully in mirrors on that side. Looks like you are clear, but not quite, need another 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch before swinging the rear,

You can do it in the park, gas station, even on the road, brushing the vehicle in the lane next to you, and you don't even know you've done it.

Don't know that I've ever done it on the left side, in a usually tighter right turn.

Not only are they evenly spaced, but each scratch looks like it was made up of many scratches.. Something moving back and forth?
