I apologize if this has been asked before but I did a search and couldn't find a specific thread with suggestions. At least not without going pretty far into the search.The ins company I had been using, Blue Sky, is no more. Went belly up or decided to no longer insure RVs, not sure. But I have to find new insurance.I called Good Sam and went into a call center to a broker and he was asking far too many questions beyond what I thought he needed for just a quote. Asking me about my kids, their ages, birth dates, trying to sell me home and auto if he could. I told him I'd continue my search online and hung up. So who do you have and like? I did a quote with progressive and they seem ok priced but if anyone has experience with any and actual claims and if you recommend them or not, I'd appreciate it. Need to pin this down because now I'm getting tons of calls even though I only do the quotes online. Thanks!!

Have had Progressive several times and have been happy with them. I did have to use their roadside service and they were quite helpful.

For me, I first had to figure out what the insurance would be for. Liability, collision? Fix a water leak or take care of a person suing me for tripping coming in.

we've been State Farm customers forever....me, for 51-years overall, 47-years as a married couple and 30-years specifically for the RV.

I've had Progressive for BOUT 14 years. Only had one claim about 10 years ago. They paid it, no problem.

My comprehensive insurance through my state farm covers windshields for free. I think this might be different in some states though.

Adding my TT and auto to my Chubb's homeowners' acct. They currently have an excellent insurance rating and that works for me.

This is not to say that I don't LMAO at Geico and Farmer's commercials but when it comes to being practical it's all about industry ratings for me.

I have all my insurance for everything through my local State Farm Agent. Been doing this for 37 years.

It is a different agent now though. The original one got old and died.
The new kid that took over for him is not getting any younger. Maybe I'll get lucky and out live him too.

(I know that is a terrible thing to say and I don't mean it the way it sounds)

We've been State Farm customers for 20 years. We recently got comprehensive on our new TT. Two weeks later we had damage from a hail storm. They advised me to take it to a repair shop of my choice and get and estimate done. As of now we are waiting for the shop to do the estimate. They've only had it for two days. there is a lot of damage from the hail.
But so far State Farm have been good to work with. We'll see once the estimate comes through and if they pay it.

Had State Farm for 40+ years but changed to AAA when SF started raising rates to cover their storm losses. Switched back when AAA would not cover the full value of the truck camper. So State Farm now covers the TC for full value whether on or off the truck. Our agent, Christine Johnston in Millersville MD, worked for us to find the right single policy to save about $400 over a multiple policy for the truck and TC.

hat is correct. I don't think it needs auto liability while parked. after all. it is not going to run into another vehicle while parked. Comp, and collision covers it even while unhooked.

I was thinking more of someone falling in / out of the TT etc. , as in personal liability. Don't think the auto policy I had covered that sort of thing when not hooked up. Maybe you have a blanket liability policy that would cover you. just thinking about a law suit, not a car crash.

Nothing but raves about USAA. In fact, getting ready for a trip I called and upgraded the insurance to cover liability and comp. I always turn it off for prolonged periods of storage. 3 days later as I was pulling the Montana out to take it down for annual appliance, brake, and bearing checks I struck the side of our house and ripped the EDPM roof. I intended to fix the problem with EDPM tape but called the insurance just to check. They replaced the entire roof and expedited the repairs because our trip was 2 weeks away. Cost me only $50.

I have State Farm.
I've only ever had 2 claims. One was a MH tow charge and the other was storm damage to my MH roof. Both handled quickly with no hassle. On the roof damage, they handled all the details directly with my RV dealer and all I had to do was endorse the check.
