I see negative posts time after time. I thought maybe a post of what people enjoy about it. If you want to post a negative post there are a plethora of other threads in witch to do so.I like the camaraderie of visiting with like minded people about a common interest. Sharing a cup of coffee or an adult beverage under the awning or around a campfire. Another poster said it best ((if I wanted peace and quite I would stay home)). I like Boone docking as well in remote areas with beautiful scenery. I guess I like the variety of having choices. So what makes RVing special to you?

You meet the nicest people camping from all walks of life.And my wife can rest and sleep late--without all the daily chores she does at home.We especially like our 1/2 day tours around the campgrounds--visiting new places.

Enjoying quality time with family and friends, visiting new places, sightseeing, the great outdoors and meeting people with same interests.

Getting out doors and doing stuff.

Wow. Good post. Wife and I were just talking about this. To me the RV is just so darn cozy! With all it's negatives it is still a blast and most all of the people we have met are fantastic. It's so interesting to meet all sorts of different people. People in something that's $300,000 and people living in a $300.00 mini van. I have hung out at the campfire with a guy dying of cancer. Another young guy hiking the Florida trail. People traveling on bicycles. Helped a guy get his dead motorhome going as the campground owner was waiting because someone else was on the way for that spot. (Betty's RV Park). Abbelville La start of summer concert series downtown square.Louisiana/Mississippi was one of our best people areas so far :)I was looking for a camp ground near Tallahassee and just thought I'd ask a guy shopping in Walmart. He said he thought he knew where it was but got his ex wife on the phone to be sure. I was telling him NO NO you dont have to do that. As I was checking out he came up in line and handed me his home and cell number and said if I have any trouble at all just call him.

I like the idea of being able to go wherever I'd like to go.I had the option to buy a permanently installed unit in a campground and, while I didn't entirely hate the idea, I didn't like the idea of always vacationing at the same place all the time. Some people have cottages and like that kind of thing, I get it... but I like seeing different things. I also like walking around a campground and seeing the different units out there and what people have done with them. RVers are, for the most part, friendly folk and willing to have a conversation on just about anything.

Why I like RVing?
Meet some of the nicest Folks anywhere. Sit around a campfire, sometimes or just cards with new Friends. Anybody is a Friend.
Leave the lawnmower and paint brush behind at home.
Not just see new parts, to us of America and get out fish, walk and experience it and just walk or drive back to the "house" for the night.
Just like all, of or our Ancestors "fresh horizons." Great Grand Pa said just went to Texas to see what was there.
Foods and atmosphere use to be different everywhere you went. Not so much now days but still find some. Like Carolina BBQ, Texas BBQ, Beans and taters, down south, Lobsta way up noth, Dolphin Fish and others on the gulf and Floride,
Salmon and Brown Trout and Walleye, in Michegan, in restaurants.

We were blessed with kids that still enjoy doing things with their parents into their teen years. We will ride this train until their interests go a different direction.

For me it is all about family. We generally go 20-30 minutes away to our favorite state parks. Years ago it was a cheap way to spend time with the kids and get out in to nature. It now includes the grandkids as well as inlaws,brothers,sisters and whoever else comes along. Spending time making memories that will outlive me with the ones I love. Early morning walks around the campground,naps in the shade and late night campfires. It does not get better than that.

I like going to see places and being able to bring my dog with me. I like knowing who slept in the bed, ate off the dishes and peed in the toilet. I love the places I can get to and still have all the comforts of home.

:W I enjoy seeing y'all truckin' down the road, knowing someone is enjoying themselves!! So far after two years I just like everything about it. Even just walking around a campground, no matter what kind, state park, busy tourist trap, etc. is very relaxing and enjoyable. I even just enjoy parking in the trailer areas at rest stops, weird I know!

Traveling without the constraints of check-in and check-out times as with a hotel along with being able to fix our own meals and not have to eat at restaurants three times a day are our reasons for choosing the RV route for travel in the USA and Canada.

Overseas it is the exact opposite as we stay at small inns and eat where the locals eat as that is a key part of the experience.

Our first trip in our Adventurer was the sum total of why we love this lifestyle. We drove over 500 miles to our destination, 2 rivers campground. Found our spot with ease, dropped the toad, & set up camp. The staff was very friendly & willing to stop what they were doing to help us. We were located in the last pull thru site on our row, & at dusk we discovered that Nashville Jellystone park was located right on the other side of the fence, and was hosting "Nashville's Dancing Lights" holiday drive through display of 9 million LED lights programed to music...

Camping world right next door,

Two Rivers Campground is a place we will be heading back to in the near future. :B
