Storage is the main reason why I'm trading in my TT for a small class "C" motorhome. Here in Austin, a trailer cannot be visible from the road, where it has to be parked in an area where it is completely fenced in.
Storage lots in Austin are usually full, and the last one I checked had a year waiting list... and was asking $250/month. There is also the fact that those places are a bonanza for the local tweakers because here in Texas, burglary of a vehicle is a misdemeanor... so unless the perp is caught red-handed by police, they are almost always going to get away with it.
I have a great place to store my trailer (many miles from an interstate, and miles from a paved road...) but it makes for a long detour to fetch the TT and bring it back.
Since storage is such an issue, I'm throwing in the towel, and going for a motorhome that can fit in a driveway. This way, it is a few steps from the front door to the RV, rather than a long excursion.
