Xantrex monitor

Hello all,

Prepping to install my new Xantrex LinkLite battery meter and am puzzled and thought maybe someone here has solved my issue.

The instructions have 2 connections for a dry alarm contact.

What the heck is that? Seperate audio alarm? If so can someone point me to such an item...

Any help would be appreciaited.
  • What Matt said- uses given in the brochure are for starting a generator or disconnecting (or connecting) a load- both done through relays.
  • Richard,

What a dry contact simply means is that it will close a switch of low current rating (what dry contact means) when it is programmed to do so.

It also probably needs a fuse to protect the contacts. If you get and inline fuse holder and a noise maker of some type, you should be able to wire that all right on the back of the Xantrex.

    Matt
