Yep! saw it myself!

Hey folks, I wasn't exactly sure what category to put this under. I considered 'Humor/Jokes' but what I saw was really more along the lines did they really just do that?
We were camping at Lake Murray State Park in south central Oklahoma this past July. We had two of our grandchildren, eight and four years old, with us for a 10 day camping trip. Boy they were sure fun but wore us plumb out.
We were at the swimming beach near the Elephant Rock boat ramp. As we were floating on swim tubes I saw a 35 foot Class C pulling a huge pontoon boat. The big Class C swung wide to the right to line up with the ramp. By now I am thinking "gee that's a long boat, this should be interesting to watch."
Quite a bit of time passed as they tried to get the whole thing lined up properly and I began to loose interest and turned my attention to other things like watching my grandkids and looking for a giant snapping turtle that the four year old was convinced was going to get us. I guess about 10 or 15 minutes went by when my granddaughter said "Papa, do campers float like boats?" Without even asking why she asked that I redirected my attention back to the boat ramp. Right then I knew why she had asked me such a question. The long Class C had six to eight feet of it's back end immersed in the water. I watched as the driver pulled forward and a flood of water came draining out of every crack and crevice. I promptly replied to my granddaughters question. "No... campers don't float." To which she replied, "well, good thing it got loose from that boat cause I thought they were going to go into the lake together and I thought maybe we could take our camper on the lake."
Boy did we ever have a story to tell my son when we called him that night.
All I could think about was those poor people and that poor MH. I didn't laugh because I think I was too amazed at what I saw. Besides I've done some pretty silly things in my life and probably still will. I just hope that there aren't about 50 people standing around watching me do it. Well better head down the road. God's Speed
