Camping in North Carolina Mountains

The KOA in Boone says they are higher than any KOA east of the Mississippi River. They are probably around 3500 ft.

Meadows of Dan CG in MOD, Virginia is right on the Parkway and pretty high also. We go there in the summer when the heat down here gets a little too oppressive. FHU and big sites on the upper line

We just left black Forrest camp ground in cedar mountain nc. Don't know how hi it was but a very nice family owned an operated cg. Would recommend. We have a 40 ft 5er.
