Camping in North Carolina Mountains

Anybody know the "highest park" in the Smoky/Blue Ridge Mountains that can accommodate a 40' Motorhome..?

Wanting to get as high as I can for the remaining summer months...

Thanks
  • The KOA in Boone says they are higher than any KOA east of the Mississippi River. They are probably around 3500 ft.
  • Meadows of Dan CG in MOD, Virginia is right on the Parkway and pretty high also. We go there in the summer when the heat down here gets a little too oppressive. FHU and big sites on the upper line
  • We just left black Forrest camp ground in cedar mountain nc. Don't know how hi it was but a very nice family owned an operated cg. Would recommend. We have a 40 ft 5er.
