Church Families Watching Service Camping

We love attending church, but when camping season is here, we often miss 3 out of 4 weekends of church. So we started a church camping club to share fellowship with other like-minded Christian families.

Our church, Canvas Church in Kalispell, MT steams the service online and posts previous messages on their website. For our group, we receive recorded messages early and play them on a ten foot outdoor movie screen while camping.

This past Independence Day weekend, we had 8 families camping together and 26 people enjoying church service in the woods.

We were in a secluded group site and didn't disturb any other campers.
  • Cool idea.

It seems that many CG's have decided to forgo offering a Sunday morning service....or maybe the Chaplains have decided to quit coming???
  • Many of the campgrounds we visit have church services but for those who don't we always try and have some kind of devotional.
Great idea. Camping and church, always said we should be able to do both.
  • We attend services at local houses of worship whilst camping but never to date at a state park which is where we normally camp. I like getting scrubbed up clean and dressed accordingly to commune with the One.
