Seem so. :h This looks like an introduction. - Captivao7ExplorerYes, I am trying to locate northern NJ area family camper's:)
- ever1ast15ExplorerHello. We live in Bergen county and camp with a Hybrid Travel Trailer. We camp about 20 nights a year and have two kids. 9 year old boy and 6 year old girl. Oh yeah....also a boston terrier dog :). Most of our camping is PA and Hudson Valley, NY. We have not camped in NJ yet and have been camping for about 3 years now.
Regards,
James - Captivao7ExplorerGoing to J&D Campground by Knoebels in Elysburg PA. In July. have a girl 15, boy 13 and a 10 pound dog named Abby.
- EwingfamilyExplorerFamily of 5+ 2 dogs from Hunterdon County. We are headed to Colonial Woods in Eastern PA this coming weekend (again for a week this July). VA and Upstate NY in May. Knoebels in June. Assateague in August. Gettysburg & VA in October.
We just got out of our old hybrid (Jayco 23B) last year. LOVED that camper but with 3 kids, we outgrew it. Miss those tent ends when camping at the beach.
Happy camping! - GeorgeNJExplorerSussex County here, originally from Bergen Co. Family of 5. We usually stay close to home, Swartswood State Park (very nice place). We do plan on camping down the shore at Allair (sp?) State Park, it's only an 8-10 drive to Point Pleasant.

Hi George,
Spent my childhood camping, canoeing, and fishing Swartswood. Great distant memories from the late 60's early 70's. I can remember catching salamanders, the beach, the dam/grist mill at the far end of the Lake, and an island with abandoned summer houses (likely long gone).
I really have to take the family back this summer.
Alaire State Park is right down the road from us and we head over for a quick weekend getaway. At times there are many Scouting groups, but always great neighbors. Don't miss the Alaire Historic Village and railroad also. - GeorgeNJExplorerHi Jersey Shore,
We drove down to Alarie park this past winter to get a look at it, just the camping area to see if we'd fit at 36'. The rest of the park looks nice from what I saw on youtube. We figure camping down there would be another chance at doing the shore, but on the cheap. We always stay in the White Sands Resort in PP, which is right on the beach, but pricey. This year we'll go twice, one time in the camper.
We love Swartswood, especially when we're the only ones in the whole park during late fall/winter- into late winter/early spring. Peak times in the summer it's really busy, but still fun. You should come back with the family, I'm sure it's as nice as you remember. There are some videos on youtube of Swartswood that you should check out, too. - Captivao7ExplorerHello NJ Shore and George nj. I grew-up in Fredon and that was my backyard. If you would like to camp at swartswood:) for a weekend in May send me a PM.
