Cody and his first water days

Finally got to see if Cody was going to enjoy the water. Living in Maryland where dogs have to be leashed constantly it is hard to find anyplace to let him be a dog and run and sniff. Camping this week in Massachusetts where I grew up and have been taking him to Myles Standish State Forest, where he can run and swim. Here are a couple of photos of him doing what Labs love to do.

  • Looks like one happy dog. Water and a stick what more could he want. I know that my chocolate love a stick and some water. Nice pictures.
  • That is one happy dog. Our Molly loves it when we find her a swimming spot.
  • Oh man, is Calvin gonna get jealous now! I'm blocking this thread so he can't see your great / fun photos! ... :B

  • You know, keeping a Lab away from water, swimming, and something to retrieve, could border on animal abuse!

Just like every lab, can't stand water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I grew up with a lab, read baby sitter. Also family owned restaurant guard dog. Fantastic memories of that dog. The monster in the signature is not really comparable!
  • Just like our Lab Lucy, you cannot keep her out of the water!
Enjoy and thanks for the pics.

  • We went to the forest the first 2 days and he got to run and swim. Pretty much hung around the site yesterday and poor Cody kept on giving me the sad look of "Are we going today?". Felt bad but DW and I both needed a day to just relax and do nothing.

Will be getting him out there again over the weekend though.
