But why wouldn't carrying the first map do the same thing? Or better yet, just have a laminated card in your possession stating something like: "We live in our RV. In case of an accident, please be aware we travel with pets that stay in the RV while we are in our car." Emergency responders would be more likely to find that than interpret what was written on what they would assume is a scrap of paper in your auto, plus it would be on your person should you drop dead while walking around Walmart.
As a bonus, It's a little thing, but the "Save the Earth" folks might frown on using more pieces of paper than you really need.
