- sch911ExplorerOur cats are free to roam wherever they want while underway. They would have it no other way.
- HappyKayakersExplorerI pull a 5er and my cat rides in the 5er unrestrained. She has access to her favorite hidey hole, litter and food. In your case, I might consider a divider just behind your chairs so the cat can't get underfoot and interfere with driving. Otherwise, they seem to manage well in a moving vehicle.
- dturmModeratorWhen we had our Henry we had a soft sided carrier that had a rigid frame that collapsed. I've forgotten the brand, but it folded flat and ended up about 2-3 inches wide with the footprint of the bottom of the carrier. They have a huge selection on Amazon or Chewy.
BTW, Henry quickly adapted to travel and preferred to sleep on the bed in back during travel. It was a safe location and he didn't try to wander so we just brought the carrier along just in case. - bgumExplorerOn the interstate in Birmingham Alabama two 8 pound dogs get in a big fight. They nearly caused a wreck. Since then any and all pets are separated or restrained.
