I'm really beginning to understand all the people that used to stop me with Ike (my late Aussie) as we'd go to the Senior Living Facility to visit Grandma. People would pet him, and then get all misty telling me about their beloved pets and how much they miss them. That will be me some day, God willing that I live that long. :-) I think being pet-less scares me more than getting old/dying.
I new a neighbor of Mom and Dad that loved animals. She had Alzheimer's and was moved to a care facility. I use to take a Collie and visit every so often. It was interesting watching all the other residence wanting to interact with my Collie.
:) Hi, my parents raised Collies when I was a kid. I also had a Collie. No-one can resist a lovable Collie.
